Dear JIm: Your "exception" is well taken. That's why 80-20 is non-partisan and it decides whom to endorse by very objective standards and with a completely democratic process. The stadrads are 1) how the presidential candidate answers our questionnaire, and 2) what the candidate and his/her party has done for the AsAm community in the last 4 years. The process is through a Endorsement Convention whose delegates are elected by our members. The "delegateship" MUST be compoased ob 1/3 R, 1/3 D and 1/3 Independents. Any 8-=2- dues-[aying member can run for a delgate position. How more open, democrataic and objective can the process be? To summarize, the candidate/party party that is most willing to share our concerns and act on it gets our support. Thanks for your wonderful comment.
