| This is one of your most resounding document I have ever read in strengthen Chinese American's legality, equality in legitimize our status here.
First is president Obama's iron-clad promise of Executive order #11246 enforcement against any discrimination.
Then the evidence of the statistical picture 80-20 have compiled as evidence of discrimination.
3rd is the managerial comparison among all ethnic groups.
And many other areas research and investigation.

| The Chinese, as a whole, tend to be apolitical and would rather be subjugated by tyrannical rule, whether by the emperor, or CCP. Even Taiwan was controlled by a fascist dictatorship and under martial law for nearly fifty years. The Japanese also worshipped the emperor and deferred to the policies of the Japanese imperial army that ruled much of Asia during the Second World War. In other words, throughout history, the concept of equal rights was a foreign one. Some, in Orwellian terms, were more ... more ...

| Those are some very good points. However, AsAm must move away from giving excuses to justify how they are being perceived and treated at all levels in this country - i.e. lack of leadership and managerial ability. There is no emperor and no dictator in America. This is a free country. So speak up and stand up for yourself. Yes, it is sad to see pictures of Caucasian models in Asian countries in every corner when there are just as many beautiful Asian males and females who can do the work. F ... more ...

| Many AsAms don't seem to realize that here in the USA we are the minority who face discrimination
against us by others. Therefore there is a NEED to become politically involved to defend our rights. Back in our respective "old countries" we were the majority. So we could take or leave politics, as we please. Spread that message far and wide please!!! SB

| Marine Allen-san, this one is for you:
There were only two reasons how our marine Allen Judd ended up working in Japan. First, he is one of those few and proud Caucasian who is willing to spend some time eating cheap sushi and teach English to those Japanese whose level of English is about as high as a kindergartener here. Anything that came out of his mouth sounded really good in Japan. Second, there is a constant demand in Japan for any Caucasian who is willing to stand next to a bunch of ... more ...

| The first "cool off" was too light. (See a comment below) It was diplomatic but not dealing with the substance. Mr. Judd invited all Asian Ams who want to help make American "a more perfect Union" to go back to Asia. Any Asian Am. who has it said to his/her face by Mr. Judd and not challenge him is to embolden Judd and individuals like Judd to keep on behaving like that. But the retort above is too heavy. Between the two I give the "too heavy" more credit. To point out the facts about M ... more ...

> | Dear Mr. Woo: By the way - educational attainment…does not have much to do with significant success in the real global world! You should try it. Perhaps you should consider China, Korea, Japan, India, Pakistan and other Asian open societies to live and work! As a white American male who has been to Asia more than 150 times, worked for the Japanese, been involved with Asia/SEUSA stuff for 35 years you are the problem here. Get off your whinny butts and do something other than bitch! ... more ...

| Dear Mr. Judd:
Since you are so certain that you are right, and you are a Board member of AACC,
which could stand for Asian Am. Chamber of Commerce, why don't you forward your
comment on this e-newsletter to all members of AACC, and see what they have to say?
Since you are a Marine, I am sure that you have at least that much courage.

| Dear Friends,
Cool off my dear friends.....Mr. Judd did post on the board....But I as a moderator would like to taper this debate off from the board....You and Mr. Judd however are welcome to continue to debate (if you so want) this away from the Board.
Happy New Year.

| Dear Subash:
You are obviously an Administrator/officer of Georgia's AsAm Chamber of Commerce. You are very diplomatic. However, you may be failing the purpose of your AACC. One of the biggest problems facing
Asian American merchants, especially those in the South, is the discrimination and prejudice against them. So why not face the problem? You can say that
80-20's facts and/or logic is wrong. Or you can also say Mr. Judd is wrong in feeling that he has the rights to invite us

| This is very interesting, but I'm wondering about the stats in the table below. Your source cites raw numbers, not percentages. What are the denominators? Total population of that particular race? Total college grads of that particular race?
If you go to the source and look at raw numbers, white MBAs outnumber Asian MBAs by 800%. So the ratio is about 8:1. One might conclude roughly that this ratio should be reflected roughly in job positions that are facilitated by MBAs.

| "% of the total college grads of that particular race" is what the table is referring to.
If the absolute number of White MBA to AsAm MBA is 8:1. It proves what we reported,
because the populated ratio to Whites to AsAms is (300 million X .7)/(15 million) = 210 million/ 15 million = 14:1.
I think you may be a member. Support us more if you can afford it. Most AsAms think they can win by "merit."

| AsAms need to get out of their shells and begin to understand what they are doing to themselves and their children. If getting PhDs’ and Masters can only get you the same standard of living as the whites or Blacks who only need to have Bachelor's degrees, not only you are enslaving yourselves, you are perpetuating the general perception that you are only good at number crunching. What is the point of telling proudly to your fellow AsAms your sons and daughters are Masters and PhDs from top 10 co ... more ...

| Firmly ingrained culture-based beliefs are hard to break. Most AsAms believe that they need to
"win be merit" -- a noble thought that I can't argue against. However, if we are incapable of observing that in the good ole USA, GROUP political clout is important in many cases, then
we do need to correct our cultural blindness. SB

The Ugly Truth about AsAm Inequality (Part 4)
This is Part 4 of the "Ugly Truth." To catch up on earlier parts,
go to the bottom of each web page:
http://80-20nj.info/cgi/dm/8/bb/b35 or /b36 or /b37 …
People who want to preserve the good jobs for themselves
spread MYTHS against us.
They try to falsely explain away the irrefutable statistical evidence
of discrimination against AsAms as if it's AsAms' own faults. Here are
some popular MYTHS against us:
MYTH 1: To be manager, business training is important. However,
AsAms are mostly trained in Science and Engineering.
Truth:
When compared to other races, AsAms have a significantly HIGHER
% of people with business degrees. See Footnote 1.
MYTH 2: The average AsAm’s income is higher than that of every ethnic
group, except for Whites. That is proof positive that AsAms are
not being discriminated.
Truth:
Wrong. That statistics proves just the opposite. If AsAms were paid the
average salary according to their educational attainment, their average
income should be 15% higher than Whites instead of lower. See Footnote 2.
Indeed, we are discriminated in workplaces in 2 ways:
(1) having lesser chance to be promoted to management, &
(2) getting paid less for the same job. See Footnote 3.
Join the fight for equal opportunity. You owe it to your children
and truth to show up.
Why is 80-20 telling you the "Ugly Truth"? To whine or to prepare for
action? What action is 80-20 preparing for? Leave your comments at
http://www.80-20educationalfoundation.org/politicaledu/posterboard.asp .
Please do YOUR part. YOU hold the key to 80-20's success in its
coming meeting with DOL.
Respectfully yours,
S. B. Woo
President, 80-20 Educational Foundation, Inc.
Footnote 1:
Having a large % of AsAms in science and engineering does NOT equate
fewer % of us who are trained in business. The percentage of AsAms with
business degrees is much HIGHER than the national average. It is because
very small % of AsAms are in such other fields as English, history,
psychology, liberal arts, …, etc.
Indeed, AsAms have the highest percentage of all people with MBAs, and
the second highest percentage of people with either a bachelors or
doctoral degree in business. See Table 1 below.
Bachelor's Degrees (business):
http://nces.ed.gov/programs/digest/d04/tables/dt04_263.asp
Master's Degrees (business):
http://nces.ed.gov/programs/digest/d04/tables/dt04_266.asp
Doctor's Degrees (business):
http://nces.ed.gov/programs/digest/d04/tables/dt04_269.asp .
Footnote 2:
Income is tightly coupled to educational attainment according to the Census 2000.
If Asian American workers were paid the average national salary according
to their educational attainment, the average Asian American income should
be about 15% HIGHER than the average Caucasian income, owing to their
much higher average educational attainment than the Whites. See Chart 2 of
http://80-20nj.info/cgi/dm/8/bb/b35 However, in reality, the income of
the average Asian American is LOWER than that of the average Caucasian.
Footnote 3:
A 2009 salary survey by The Scientist documented the same point. See the chart
below:
